Long Live the Kings (LLTK) is a private, nonprofit organization committed to restoring wild salmon to the waters of the Pacific Northwest. Using a science-based, collaborative approach, LLTK projects seek to identify under what circumstances hatcheries and fish-rearing techniques can be used to help recover naturally spawning salmon and steelhead populations and to support sustainable fisheries.
The GRRP is a working group of Georgetown residents, businesses and property owners organized around connecting the community of Georgetown to the Duwammish River through street improvements along 8th Ave at Myrtle and Carleton Ave and landscape improvements at Gateway Park North.
Seattle Tilth inspires and educates people to garden organically, conserve natural resources, and support local food systems in order to cultivate a healthy urban environment and community. Programs include beautiful Demonstration Gardens in Wallingford and Mt. Baker neighborhoods, the very popular Children's Garden, the Master Composter/Soil Builder Program, the Natural Lawn & Garden Hotline, and numerous events and classes including a May Plant Sale and City Chickens classes/tours. 31.

SCA's mission is to build the next generation of conservation leaders and communities by engaging young people in hands-on service to the land. SCA is a non-profit organization that recruits and fields more than 2000 high school, college and adult volunteers annually to provide service to our national parks, forests, wildlife refuges and other public lands.

Social
The FCA was formed in 1980 to deal with traffic, pollution, and other topics related to the existence of the ferry dock in our community. Since then, our activities have expanded to include restoration of salmon habitat in Fauntleroy Creek and the cove, local parks and playgrounds, crime and public safety, traffic issues as they affect all of West Seattle, involvement in Department of Transportation committees and meetings, and many other topics.
